The Black Male Working Academy is a nationally awarded program aimed to reach, teach and keep the black student population from failing.
The vision of Black Male Working Academy is to enhance the quality of life and positively shape the future for African American males through education, collaboration, and exploration.

BMWA is an acronym for Black Male Working Academy
Our Goals:
- To close the academic achievement gap that exist in our school system for African American males
- To give support to African American males when they take advanced and AP classes
- To help African American males to be college & career ready
- To provide ACT & SAT Prep Classes
- To provide the young men annually with college and educational trips
- Provide college scholarships for young men
The Black Male Working Academy started in January of 2005 and is in the process of celebrating 10+ years of making the difference in the lives of African American males.
